Manchester!

My first trip back since Take That and moving out of Filey Road, long overdue although it felt like I'd never been away, despite being in a different (much, much nicer) house! We started on Tuesday as we meant to go on.....eating and drinking our weight in food and wine!!! I don't have a proper job, so I feel like a fraud saying this when the Laura's and LJ work pretty much full time...but it was nice to not have to worry about having to do anything...just dossing around for a few days, it was like term time! University students have it so hard! :) So it was a Northern Quarter job on Tuesday night, with the standard end of night visit to a curry house......I'm going to miss that mile.

Wednesday brought a strictly regimented visit to The Trafford Centre....I don't think I've ever shopped with such precision and forward planning before. Naturally, after hours of walking around and trying to avoid Topshop...I inevitably returned to the first shop we went in and bought a dress.....the first piece for my Autumn 09 wardrobe! The day was nicely broken up with mashed potato and Starbucks....but we got carried away and 7hours just flew by! :)

What's a Wednesday night in Manchester without Birdcage?! LJ defied AJ and joined us for our second evening of festivities and in true LJ style, she didn't disappoint! We sucessfully managed to scare off some boys in the queue to get in by talking about anal....well they shouldn't have been eavesdropping! LJ then proceeded to tongue everyone in sight if it meant getting to the front of the bar. I ain't got no complaints!

The visit was rounded off with an extremely lazy day....consisting of us judging everyone on tv and driving to Sainsbury, which is a short walk away! If I'd had my car in Manchester over the past 2years, I'd be a heiffer right now!
All in all a good few days had by all me thinks.....must do it again soon! :)
